“I have decided to answer the call to serve the people of Limestone County.  My family settled here twenty-six years ago and Limestone has been my home ever since.  I will bring my life’s experiences, work ethic, and integrity to the District Attorney’s Office in order to restore public confidence in our community’s leaders and justice system.  The diversity of my practice over the last decade has prepared me for this opportunity, and I am confident that I can help ensure the proper administration of justice in a timely and decisive manner.  Now is the time for new leadership that our community can trust and count on.  Limestone County is a great place to call home and raise a family.  Kasey and I have concluded that it’s time to serve.  I will work hard to earn your support and vote to serve as your next District Attorney.”

About Lucas Beaty

Lucas calls Limestone County home.  As the son of a Chief Petty Officer, he spent most of his early life moving up and down the east coast.  The Beaty family eventually settled down in Ardmore on his 13th birthday.  He graduated from Ardmore High School in 2000.  Like his father and both grandfathers before him, Lucas answered the call to serve his country.  He enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Ft. Benning, GA., where he served as an M1A1 Armor Crewman.  His duties included numerous stateside training operations that took him from the backwoods of Georgia to the Mojave Desert and a deployment to Kuwait in 2002.

After completing his enlistment, he began his post-secondary education, graduating from Athens State University in 2008.  He earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2010.  He is a member of the Limestone County Bar, and a Judge Advocate for the Alabama Army National Guard.
